Roof Tiling in Brentwood

For this large project in Brentwood we used over 7000 plain tiles to complete this project with new velux windows installed all verges cemented and a matching lower bay and bonnets

Client's Challenge

This client was a reputable builder and sent us the architectural drawings for this large project, after a meeting with the client and tile samples seen by the client. The client agreed a grey Marley plain tile for this large project consisting of over 7000 tiles.

This client had a lower bay roof to do as well which we suggested doing in bonnet tiles to keep with the original this was agreed and we proceeded with the roofing works.

GPM Roofing Solution

GPM started by fitting breathable felt membrane and setting out the 25×38 batten to the correct gauge, we the large task of 7000 tiles to come up to scaffold level the GPM team worked hard and had the tiles off the clients drive in 6 hours keeping our disturbance to a minimum for the client.

GPM installed all the tiles using machine cuts where needed, there was 2 new velux windows installed on this project with matching flashing kits to suit. All verges were bedded on in sand and cement and the main ridge was mechanically fixed with a dry ridge system.

The lower bay roof was done as above with with the added detail of grey Marley bonnets instead of hips as this kept with the original roof, code 4 lead flashing was used to finish this lower bay.

Another happy client.
