Client's Challenge
GPM was called out to this client as they wanted to change there asbestos garage roof due to the asbestos having splits in it and water ingress was getting in.
GPM explained that we would need to remove the asbestos sheets and dispose of them with an asbestos certified company.
We then explained the options we could do with the garage roof and the client was happy to go ahead with our new tiled roof solution.
GPM Roofing Solution
GPM stripped off the asbestos sheets very carefully and wrapped them up in preparation for the certified company to collect a certificate of collection is authorised by the company.
GPM then installed new 4×2 timbers to create a new rafter roof for this garage roof.
Breathable felt was installed next to stop condensation, treated 25×38 batten was next installed set out at the correct gauge in preparation for tiling.
GPM then installed new grey sandtoft concrete tiles with a matching grey ridge which the client was extremely happy with.
This project was finished off with both verges being bedded on with sand and cement and another 5 year guarantee.
